Do I need musical experience to attend? Not at all. This music creation retreat in Texas was designed for both musicians and complete beginners. The voice activation and songwriting workshop is built around the belief that you don’t need to be a singer — you just need to be willing. Everyone who comes leaves with something real.
What is voice activation? Voice activation is the process of releasing physical, emotional, and energetic blocks that prevent authentic vocal expression. It’s not about hitting the right notes — it’s about letting your voice move freely. Most people are surprised by what comes out when those blocks release.
What is a sound journey? A sound journey is an immersive sonic experience using instruments, voice, and frequency to guide you into a deep state of relaxation and inner awareness. It’s a space to quiet the mind and reconnect with your body’s wisdom.
What is ceremonial cacao and is it safe? Ceremonial cacao is pure, minimally processed cacao sourced directly from indigenous growers — in our case, from Colombia. It’s not the same as chocolate. Used in sacred context, it supports feelings of openness and heart-centered connection with no hallucinogenic properties. It’s generally well-tolerated, though we recommend consulting your healthcare provider if you have any heart conditions or take medications.
What should I bring? Comfortable clothing for movement and yoga, something warm for evenings around the fire, a journal, an open heart, and whatever creative tools feel meaningful to you. A full packing list will be sent upon registration.
